The phrase “there’s an app for that” has been taken to a whole new level this week…  Thats right, if you want to learn about whats going on with the Michael Jackson murder trial, why turn on the news, or go to a news site, or read a paper?? Why would you do that when, wait for it, there’s an app for that. This is truly iPhone app development at its best.  A couple of other interesting apps join the app markets this weeks here’s a breakdown.

Michael Jackson Doctor Trial (iPhone, iPad) $0.99
Keep up with everything that’s going on in the Michael Jackson murder trial with Michael Jackson Doctor Trial, an app that streams video from the trial straight to your iOS device. Not only does the app let you see videos from all the court proceedings as they occur and after the fact as well, but it includes a guide to who each of the major players are to help explain what’s going on as you watch the proceedings.

Michael Jackson Doctor Trial includes a live stream from the courtroom and breaking news alerts, and the app’s developer, CBC HTV, has a live reporter in the courtroom to cover the proceedings. The app also provides legal and expert analysis of what’s going on as it happens in the courtroom.

News Republic (iPhone, iPad) Free
Get your international news and personalize the content you read in News Republic, an app filled with stories from sources such as Reuters, the Associated Press, WENN and AFP. The app lets you browse through thousands of stories in real time by headline from all kinds of sources, and tapping on any one of them allows you to read the story instantly.

News Republic allows you to personalize your experience so you can get news from just specific sources or events. You can also share stories with your friends using Facebook and Twitter, and get extra information about anything you read from within the app. The iPhone app development on this news source is streamlined and efficient, a must for all news buffs.

Space Junk (iPhone, iPad) $0.99
There’s all kinds of debris circling the planet – satellites, probes and even aliens spacecraft. Your job is to clean it up, and the best way to do that is to vaporize it. Such is the premise of Space Junk, a retro-styled shooter in which you fly around blasting stuff before it crashes into you. Along the way, you’ll gather power-ups to supercharge your space-junk-blasting gun, and use a little jetpack and your inertia in zero gravity to navigate through each level.

Space Junk includes 25 levels and three different difficulty levels, along with its old-school neon Vector graphics. It’s also kind of hilarious: you’ll encounter some goofy stuff in space, like probes filled with dogs and other space exploration-related stuff.
